Who’s Hiding at the Seaside?

(1 reviews with an average rating of 5 out of 5)

Publisher: Nosy Crow

This excellent flap book is part of Nosy Crow’s continued collaboration with the National Trust. They have created some truly beautiful children’s books about nature, but the "Who’s Hiding" series might be the best offering yet.

Stunning collaged illustrations depict gorgeous scenery filled with wildlife and animals. Each spread is covered with small flaps that fold back to reveal the information about the animals that inhabit that space.

At the seaside, we meet sandpipers and seals at the shoreline, seahorses and hermit crabs at the rock pool, dolphins and octopuses in the sea and puffins and guillemots along the coast. At night-time, the beach is covered in waves that bring baby turtles ashore and sleeping seagulls bob on the water.

A really lovely addition to any little person’s blossoming bookshelf, this is a great way to learn about our country’s wildlife and the pretty illustrations are a treat for tiny art lovers. Be warned though, you’ll want to collect the whole set!
