The Great Animal Escapade

After leaving behind his dismal life as a pickpocket on the streets of Edinburgh, Danny can’t believe his good fortune. Mr and Mrs Jameson have given him a home and he loves working at Belle Vue, their pioneering zoological gardens in Manchester.

In order to raise much-needed funds, Mr Jameson has devised a spectacular show starring Danny and their magnificent elephant, Maharajah. It is essential that everything runs smoothly, but when some of the animals escape, causing panic in the local community, suspicion falls on Danny.

Convinced someone is trying to sabotage Mr Jameson’s plans, Danny is determined to discover the truth, not only to clear his name, but also to ensure the future of the zoo is secure. However, with a dangerous escaped prisoner threatening to kill him and the sudden appearance of a man claiming to be his father, Danny is thrown into turmoil and doesn’t know who to trust.
