Pig and Small

Publisher: Picture Corgi

When Pig's nose mysteriously starts to squeak all the time, he eventually discovers that it's actually a tiny bug standing on it. They decide to be friends, but initially find the size difference difficult: everything that Pig wants to do is too big for Bug, and vice versa! Eventually Pig comes up with an idea for something they can share, and when that's successful, they find there are plenty of things they can both enjoy.

Alex Latimer's illustrations are bold, colourful and stylized, with plenty of additional information in each spread for young readers to investigate. He shows that we can all get along, even if we're very unlike each other in many ways, and celebrates difference, compromise and friendship.
