Sky Wolves

(2 reviews with an average rating of 5 out of 5)

Publisher: Puffin

An animal story with a difference, Sky Wolves combines diverse themes into a thoroughly satisfying novel, which can be read on several levels, and by readers of many ages and interests.

When Sam’s aunt rescues a lost dog, he knows that something incredible is going to happen. Jenny is a very special dog whose history goes back to ancient mythology, and who journeys to the twenty-first century with a mistletoe twig in her mouth to save the world before it is destroyed by the sky wolves.

Despite the potentially terrifying outcome it threatens, Michael’s novel is infused with wonderful humour, and presents an affirmation of the ability of the apparently unsuccessful or ostracised ultimately to succeed against all odds.
