Eric Carle's The Very Hungry Caterpillar deserves its reputation as a much-loved classic. Full of bright and imaginative illustrations and ingenious cut-out details, it charts the progress of a very hungry caterpillar as he eats his way through the week.
The pictures readily engage children's attention and involve them in the reading process, while helping them learn about numbers, days of the week and time. This is a fantastic book for pre-school children, who are sure to demand it time and time again.

Liliana really enjoyed looking at the pictures and the bright colours. She was eager to turn the pages to see more! She's still a bit young for counting so we hope to read about the Caterpillar's adventures again!
The Very Hungary Caterpillar is a great book for young children. I myself loved it when I was young. It's a wonderful book!
It is funny when the caterpillar get's FAT because he was GREEDY.
I loved reading this book to pre-school children and we also had all the 'food' to feed our caterpillar. It encourages healthy eating and also counting skills. Excellent book
