When and where is the Bradford training taking place?

Our Bradford training event is taking place on Saturday, 21 September, kicking off at 10.30am and finishing at 6pm. You'll find us at Mind the Gap, the Silk Warehouse, Patent Street, Bradford, BD9 4SA.

How much are tickets?

Nothing! Our BookTrust Represents training events are completely free but you'll need to get your ticket here.

What's happening on the day?

We'll kick off with registration and refreshments, plus a bit of housekeeping, and then you can look forward to the following:

  • 11.15am-12.00pm: The Publishing Industry: A Case Study Start to Finish with author Patrice Lawrence
  • 12.00pm-12.45pm: Working with an Agent - choose from an illustrator session led by agent Penny Holroyde-Cartey or a writer session led by agent Davinia Andrew-Lynch
  • 12.45pm-1.45pm: Lunch
  • 1.45pm-2.30pm: Confidence Building for Creatives with Claire Malcolm, CEO of New Writing North
  • 2.30pm-3.15pm: Dealing with the Public and Growing Your Profile with PR consultant Elizabeth Bananuka
  • 3.15pm-3.30pm: Break
  • 3.30pm-4.45pm: Choose from...
