Primary – Bring Back Bedtime Stories
Gillian Washington, Y1 teacher at South Parade Primary School, Wakefield, was concerned that bedtime stories were becoming extinct for her pupils and their families. As a passionate advocate of reading for pleasure, she knew that something important had to be done, so launched the Bring Back Bedtime Stories campaign!

Secondary – Generation Read
Emily Seed, School Librarian at the Charter School, London, created the Generation Read project as a way to develop the home reading culture for a group of Year 7 students. Through exciting activities and library parties, she brought whole families together through books, and transformed her students’ attitudes towards reading.
