Newborn packs: Black and White booklets

Sharing books with your baby in the first months can help to grow a reader for life. Cuddle up and enjoy your Bookstart Baby Black and White booklet together. 

The newborn packs contain:

  • A congratulations card to celebrate the birth of your child. This card contains information about the Bookstart packs your child will be receiving during their early years
  • A booklet containing black-and-white images for you to share with your newborn baby
  • An envelope to contain your card and booklet, this may also include some additional information about joining your local library

Who gives out your newborn pack?

The newborn pack is given out by a number of professionals, including health visitors, midwives and registrars.
