Bookstart is the world’s first national bookgifting programme. Bookstart gifts free books to all children in England and Wales at two key ages before school to help families read together every day.
Did you know that every child in England aged 0-12 months and 3-4 years is entitled to a Bookstart pack? Find out more here.
There is currently no government funding for Bookstart in NI, but BookTrust NI is working hard to form alternative partnerships to deliver as many Bookstart packs as possible, along with author tours and annual National Bookstart Week celebrations.
It’s never too early to start sharing books, stories and rhymes! Through Bookstart, BookTrust Cymru makes sure that every child in Wales has their own books at home and supports families to read together regularly.
This year's National Bookstart Week was an outdoors - rain permitting - adventure to remember, turning babies into bunnies up and down the country. We've put together a gallery of some of the fantastic pictures you sent us. Enjoy.
