Lucky dreams of the stars quite often, but this night is different. Tonight, they are calling to him, as if they have something to tell him. And then he wakes up, feverishly hot, to discover the top sheet of his bed is burnt. Within minutes, he's on the run with his mother who is determined to get him off the planet.
They join up with a group of aliens - refugees from the ongoing war between aliens and humans - who agree to help Lucky find his father. As Lucky spends more time with the aliens, he begins to understand everything he heard about them wasn't true. But being on the run in a galaxy at war presents its problems, not least of all the rumour that there's a wolf that eats stars. Lucky is now on a mission, to find out what the power is growing inside him, and to discover some of the biggest secrets in the universe.

This book is probably (in my opinion) the best book I've ever read. It is non-stop excitment from start to finish. This book involves sci-fi and is just a great and amazing book. It contains space, aliens, sace craft, emotional moments and more. i recomend reeding this book

I loved it. It was a great adventure story and i enjoyed it a lot. I loved all of it could not stop read it. you can't put it down. i would recommend it to all people who love adventure stories. I loved all the characters but my favourite is the aliens.

I love this book because in primary school we read a book called" Varjak paw". Which was an amazing book it really intrigued me so I looked at the author and I saw that it was the same author as varjak paw so I was instantly hooked. So recommend this book to youth ages for the people who like mystery and drama.
