Hooking you from the very first page, it has just the right amount of spookiness, mystery and action, keeping you on the edge of your seat without getting gory. Victoria Schwab is a superb storyteller, blending well-crafted characters with a perfectly paced plot. A ridiculously fun, spine-tingling read.

This is an amazing book. It’s a quick read and makes you think there may be more around us than we might see. There is mystery,sadness, fear, friendship and much more. There are also relatable characters which helps you enjoy the book more. It really captures the creepiness of Edinburgh.

I really enjoyed City of Ghosts. I love a ghost story and it captured the darker spookier side of Edinburgh perfectly! I once went on a ghost tour when I visited Edinburgh and I could see the places described in the book very clearly. I could almost feel the cold breath of a ghost of two or something out of the corner of my eye as I was reading it. Not to be read just before bedtime!

I’ve only read six chapters of this book but so far I have really enjoyed it. It’s about a girl who once got saved from drowning by a ghost. That ghost is the only ghost that the girl can see but she can sense them. Her parents are authors who’s books were so popular that they started a tv show. They need to go to one of the most haunted cities in the world (Edinburgh) so the can film the first episode.

This is a very good book for people who want to keep on reading. It is definitely a page turner and even is sending a shiver down my spine at times. I would defiantly recommend this book.
