We can't believe that it's nearly the end of 2017, but there are still plenty of events, anniversaries and festivals to see the year out.

And if you want to know what else you can start getting excited about, you're in the right place as we've got all the details on some of the most important dates in children's books right up until the end of the year.

Here's what else is coming up:

9 December: Here's a real treat - the lovely folk at the V&A Museum have decided we could all do with cheering up and will be launching their Winnie-the-Pooh exhibition today! Expect merchandise and original E. H. Shepard drawings (might be best to stock up on honey and condensed milk beforehand, though - we can only imagine how much you'll crave them afterwards...) 15-16 December: Fancy some pre-Christmas book fun? You're in luck - just head to the London Children's Book Fair at Parasol Unit! The event promises interactive workshops, storytelling sessions, readings, signings and live drawing - just check out the website for more information.

Also this month... Have a break from all that Christmas shopping and head to the cinema, because the end of the year is full of movies that book lovers will adore. One of those films is the adaptation of Wonder, starring Julia Roberts, Jacob Tremblay and Owen Wilson. Just like the book, it's sure to be a tear-jerker.
