What our supporters say

Thanks to the flair of BookTrust, a multi-dimensional process has been made to appear smooth, seamless and straightforward.

Boyd Tonkin, The Independent

Working together with BookTrust has been great and it's incredibly rewarding knowing that we've made a real difference for some of the most disadvantaged children in the UK.

Sandra Taylor, Waterstones

We believe that every child should get equal access to books and should be motivated to read, regularly and by choice. Hence, we are proud to support BookTrust.

How our partners have helped

Waterstones logoWaterstones has supported BookTrust as its chosen charity since 2013. During this time, employees and customers of Waterstones have helped raise over £1,000,000 for BookTrust. Since the partnership began Waterstones shops and booksellers have been involved in a number of initiatives from organising fancy dress competitions to author events and story time sessions; selling a range of charity Christmas cards and donating the carrier bag charge to BookTrust. The partnership demonstrates a shared mission to get children and families reading for pleasure and has helped fund programmes such as Bookstart which reaches all families in England and Wales and the Letterbox Club for children in care and helping to ensure that all children, including those who need us the most, have access to books and to reading.
