We're a bit too excited that Nadia Shireen is our new Writer-Illustrator in Residence! She's here to tell you about all the things she has planned for us – and we're in for a treat.
Nadia Shireen is our new Writer-Illustrator in Residence! Over the next six months, she wants to talk diversity in children's books, reading funny things and getting kids to put themselves at the heart of their writing.

Oh – hello. My name is Nadia Shireen. You may know me as the author and illustrator of books like The Bumblebear, Good Little Wolf, The Cow Who Fell to Earth and some other ones...
I'm delighted to announce that I'm BookTrust's new Writer in Residence. So, for the next six months, I'll be doing blog posts, some events, launching a very cool competition – and I really hope that you will enjoy hanging out with me for a while.
I also think as Writer in Residence that I get to move in with you, so I also hope that's ok. I'll be round at the end of the day.
