Waterstones Children’s Laureate Lauren Child has a number of events on this autumn and we’ve pulled them together here.

23 September 2017, 2-3pm

Find Lauren at Ryedale Books Festival in Yorkshire.

25 September 2017, from 6pm 

Lauren will be talking to American author Kate DiCamillo in a very special event at Waterstones High Street Kensington hosted by Katherine Woodfine. Tickets are available on the Waterstones website.

30 September 2017, 10-11am

A special event to celebrate Lauren’s new book A Dog With Nice Ears at the Jersey Festival

14 October 2017, 11:45am-12:45pm 

Lauren Child is on a mission to inspire children to realise their own creative potential. In conversation with CBBC Controller Cheryl Taylor, Lauren discusses the many art forms that influence her work, children’s books as a gateway to learning, and why she wants children to have the freedom to discover creativity for themselves at Cheltenham Festival.

18 October 2017, 11am

Lauren will be celebrating A Dog With Nice Ears at Loughborough Town Hall for the Loogabarooga Festival. You can also find out about Charlie and Lola parties with Devon Black  at the same festival but please note Lauren Child herself will not be attending the parties.

From 18-24 October 2017

The Art of Lauren Child - Adventures with Charlie and Lola and Friends exhibition at Charnwood Museum in Loughborough. This is a rare chance to see a selection of original artwork specially picked by Lauren Child as part of Loogoabarooga Festival.  

27 October 2017, 1pm

See Lauren at the London’s Southbank Centre, as part of the half-term programme at the London Literature Festival

29 October 2017, 4pm

See Lauren Child at the Octagon Theatre at Yeovil Festival. In this event for children aged 8+, Lauren will be discussing the many art forms that influence her work; children’s books as a gateway to learning and why she wants children to have the freedom to discover creativity for themselves. She will also introduce her new Charlie and Lola book, A Dog With Nice Ears. 

9 November 2017, 5pm

Lauren will be at the Hastings Storytelling Festival. This event at the White Rock Theatre is recommended for children over 9 but there will be activities for smaller children in the cafe whilst the show takes place.
