Where’s My Jumper?
Publisher: Simon & Schuster
Rudy, a cute, blue rabbit, has lost his most favourite pink jumper. Where is it?! Then ten cats in his wardrobe haven’t seen it, and neither have the nine jiving llamas in fancy-pants pyjamas having a disco in the kitchen. As Rudy explores the rest of the house, it’s a no all around, until he finds his sister Trudy wearing it. Perhaps it is a little bit too small for him after all…
Nicola Slater’s adorable board book perfectly shows the attachment to favourite toys and clothes that toddlers can develop, so little readers will empathise with Rudy while learning their numbers at the same time! The text is creative and funny with plenty of new words that really little ones may not understand but really enjoy listening to anyway, and the bright illustrations are eye-catching and full of bounce and movement.
Last, there’s a lovely bit of empathy-encouraging, with Rudy deciding to give his favourite jumper to his little sister. There's a lot of story here for 12 thick card pages, which are also full of fun flaps and cut-outs to encourage interaction.
