Violet and the Smugglers

Violet is delighted when she and her friends are invited by her godfather on a sailing adventure to Venice. Always on the lookout for a mystery to solve, the children's suspicions are aroused by neighbouring boat-owner, Mr Jolly. After careful observation, they conclude that he's a smuggler and proceed to follow him in an attempt to gather evidence and bring him to justice.

When they unexpectedly bump into their friend PC Green, who is on a work exchange in Italy, they enlist his help. However,  the lovesick policeman only has eyes for beautiful opera singer La Bellissima, so the children must catch the criminals by themselves.
