Victoria's Day

Publisher: Frances Lincoln

A photographic diary documenting a day in the life of a four year old girl.

Like any other little girl, Victoria gets up in the morning, gets dressed, has breakfast, cleans her teeth and goes to nursery school. Like any other little girl, she enjoys playing with her friends, painting, shopping, baking, ballet, feeding ducks and generally exploring the world around her. And like any other little girl, she enjoys snuggling up for a bedtime story at the end of the day.

The result is a beautiful snapshot of a small child’s life, a child who just happens to have Down syndrome. Particularly engaging is the fact that the photographs are all taken by Victoria’s own mother, a Brazilian-born photographer. A delightful picture of a happy little girl leading a busy and inclusive life.
