At school we are reading this book and it has grabbed my attention and I get annoyed when we have to put the book down because it is so enthralling

We got this book for our Chevron readers cup inter-school quiz. We had memorized the book on the back of our hand, it was so catchy and full of terrors. The story was completely unexpected and beyond our imaginations. Our predictions about the book were the other way round. The book is a keeper ! Your ought to read it

As I read the book I got so interested in it I hardly left it as it went on my suspicion grew larger and larger.If I can remember correctlly penny dreadful went to bedlem to investigate I can not wait to read on thank you for this amazing book

Chilling story that makes you feel sorry for the insane. And it defiantly won't give you nightmares ! It's defiantly worth reading and the very descriptive words give spooky images

this book is good

I thought the book was really fascinating I think I want to read more Christopher edge books. The character Penny was just like me except I'm not an orphan. I would have love to seen some romance between Alfie and Penny.

I love this book its the best I love the mysterious things that happen with the people writing with their own blood that really got me!!!!!

So far I think the book is very good. It seems to make more sense the more that you read. I like the fact that the actor playing the leading role has decided to take on the character and investigate a story further.

I would recommend this book to all year 7's that like gothic-horror stories, as it is a wonderfully spooky story! I get chills every time I read it.

I think this book is amazing every time I read it I don't want to stop!!! The characters are introduced nicely and I get the story, it is amazing how Christopher Edge (the author) can make it so clear to year 7's what is going on.

I really enjoyed this book because it is like a mystery and it builds up tension to the reader. I also liked this book because i found it really interesting when penelope tredwell was trying to find out what was happening to all of the patients when they keep on waking up at 12 minutes to midnight every night. Also i enjoyed it when she told the guard at the museum that sir edwin lancaster was her father.

I have just started reading this book and I am already enjoying it. I find it very exciting because its kind of spooky and I like spooky books. The book cover really caught my eye and the title is very interesting and I think red and black is a very suitable colour very mysterious and spooky type of book.
