There's a House Inside My Mummy
Publisher: Hachette
This is just the book to explain to inquisitive children what going on inside mum during pregnancy. Through a rhyming text, a toddler explains why his mum's tummy is getting so big, and what he expects to happen.
Soft, colourful pictures, full of domestic detail, contribute to the book's humorous approach, but also allow for discussion in greater depth, if desired.

I purchased this book when I was expecting my second child. It certainly helped my first child understand what was happening. It was such a lovely way to describe having a sibling. It is still one of our favourite books even though my second child is now 18 months!!

This is a really clever way to introduce a toddler to the idea of having a baby. It explains why mummy's belly grows and helps them to understand that a baby will arrive. It's hard to know exactly how much they really take in but my daughter really enjoyed the book and has been great with our newborn.

we loved reading this book with mummy when our baby brother was in her tummy. Hannah read it before when Michael was in the tummy house. we love Giles Andrea books and find them funny. it really helped us to make sense of what was happening to mummy and going to happen in our house. now we have a lovely baby brother - and mummy won't be making another!!
