Davies was winner of the Waterstone's Children's Book Prize 2010 with The Great Hamster Massacre, which featured Emma, her friend Suzanne and her younger brother Tom.
Their second investigation concerns their friend Joe, who has gone to live with his Dad, leaving his pet rabbit with his Mum. The children, convinced that both rabbit and Joe need each other to thrive, engineer a situation to reunite them.
Davies attracts young readers with her familiar plot, engaging characters, and understanding of nine year-olds' minds, which are simultaneously perceptive and misunderstanding of adult behaviour.
Quirky illustrations, a simulated notebook format with 'pasted in' notes, a map, and easily readable pages make this an attractive, exciting and thoughtful short novel for newly confident readers.

This book I liked very much and in some parts of it it was soooo funny but sad. It was full a lot of information and amazing facts that I never new before about rabbits. As soon as I picked this book up I couldn't put it down. This was a really good book and I think you would really enjoy to read it. And guess what it was a really rescue story.
