The Dawn Chorus

(2 reviews with an average rating of 4 out of 5)

Publisher: Bloomsbury

Peep wakes to the sound of singing. He flies through the forest to find its source and discovers a tree bursting with birds, all welcoming the new day. Peep asks the conductor if he can join the Dawn Chorus. He practises and practises but can't utter a note at his audition. However, as the sun sets, Peep starts to sing and is joined by a bird who looks just like him and sings just like him. As the stars come out, the nightingales sing their beautiful song together.

A warm, reassuring tale about individual talents and about belonging, which will appeal to small children everywhere. Glorious illustrations swirl through the pages in a crescendo of appealing, harmonious images.
