The Bare Bum Gang and the Football Face Off

(3 reviews with an average rating of 5 out of 5)

Publisher: Red Fox

As everyone knows, a gang's den is sacred no matter how dirty, dark or smelly it may be so when the Bare Bum Gang's den is at risk they will do anything they can to save it.

The Bare Bum Gang will lose their den to their number one enemies unless they can beat them at football. This seems about as likely as pigs flying until a certain Jennifer Eccles steps into the breach.

Short chapters and pen and ink illustrations make this an ideal 'read alone' for recently fluent young readers. It is a witty and delightfully non PC account of how to deal with girls and bullies, featuring the medical applications of wee and how to build a den, Smarties-tube fart bombs and dog poo traps.
