Space Ace

Publisher: Barrington Stoke

Billy's grandad is a retired astronaut who likes to take Billy on tours around the earth in his space ship. However, one day, by accident, they rocket into space and have to find their way back by navigating past all the planets, learning about them as they go!

Superbly illustrated in pen and ink by Tony Ross, this fact-filled story about space is perfect to read to 5-7s at bedtime, or as an exciting story for older reluctant or struggling readers. The accessible format of cream-yellow pages on a thicker paper than usual (which means there isn't an issue about text from the reverse side of the page being seen) also makes it a much better read for some children that have issues decoding text on the page.
