Paws Off My Book

Publisher: Scholastic

Olaf the giraffe is trying to read a book but all the animals in the jungle are interrupting him with advice on how he should be reading, instead of listening to the story. Wilbur thinks you should sit on your bottom, Vincent thinks you should stretch out, and Felicia insists on standing on one leg. Everyone ends up in a great big tangle, but Olaf doesn't mind because the way to best enjoy a book is with your friends.

Fruit-salad colours that pop off the page make this picture flat really eye-catching. The silly animals are sure to get a laugh from little book lovers, and the message that reading can be a shared experience is always important. The text is short but with lots of banter between the animals to keep things funny.
