I loved this book so much! It was such a gripping story but also so, so, sad! It helped me understand how it must of felt for a child like Felix. I was almost in tears when I finished it and my friend Roman was! I could read this over and over again it was so good!

This book is so moving. It makes you think how the war was so difficult to understand to children and that people were killing others for just one reason. Out of 5 I would have rated this title 6 OUT OF 5

I think the book was really nice.But some parts were really sad and it made me cry. I liked it so much that i read all the books of Morris Gleitzman.I do not know how he thought of such a fantastic book. I really hope he makes more books so i can read it.

i really enjoyed this series (once, then, now, after) because i love how the writer empathises so much and how so many emotions are brought together and how as a reader, we find out so much about life in the war time. I would highly recommend this series of books (of course reading them in order) to early teens! keep reading x

I am 22 years of age and I read this book towards the end of primary School. I read the whole series. I am not a big reader and in fact I think Ive only two books after this. I could not put these books down as a kid and I still think these books were amazing. So far the only books I've been able to get through in my life.
