Morris the Mankiest Monster

Publisher: Picture Corgi

Disgusting, pustule-covered, flea-infested Morris lives in a house made of dung, where mushrooms grow under the damp wallpaper. When he’s not nibbling the mould off the end of his toes, he’s filtering snail slime through his socks before he drinks it – just to ensure its tastiness, obviously.

A delight for any child that loves the gross factor, Morris has all the poo, farts, snot and general filth that anyone could want. He’s also rather sweet, and wants friends just like anyone else.

Sarah McIntyre’s detailed and joyful illustration - especially on the page featuring Morris’ larder of pickled toenail clippings, jellied fungus and head lice chutney - is a delight.
