Kitchen Disco
Publisher: Faber
Did you know when you go to sleep all the fruit in the bowl comes to life and has a fun-filled, night long party? The mangos love to dance, the banana DJ can do the splits, the grapes enjoy a conga line and the apples shake their pips! It is a fruit-tastic extravaganza and everyone is invited - so don't be shy, join in and let's get this party started!
This exquisite book is an instant classic. Filled to the brim with great characters, brought to life with just a few lines of text, and perfectly matched with hilarious, colourful illustrations that are bursting with life. Each page brings a smile to your face and the repetitive chorus will ensure even small children will be able to join in the sing-a-long fun. Highly recommended, this is one of the finest and funniest young children's books in years.

Totally agree with the above comments about this book being printed in capital letters. A total oversight by someone! My daughter and the rest of her class (reception) came home with this free book from BookTrust and while she enjoyed the story and the pictures when she tried to read it she just couldn't and so lost interest. Such a shame.

The book was great. I enjoyed reading the story and it was very funny. I liked the bit when the banana does the banana splits. I thought that was very funny. I want to keep this book forever! And you should buy it too.

My class LOVE this book. Many can recite it perfectly and it is just so perfectly pitched at Reception aged children.

A funny story but really disappointed with someone's decision to print it entirely in capital letters. I understand it is important to read with your child, and of course we do each day, but Reception age children are particularly developing their independent reading skills at this time and my child enjoys 'helping' to read our stories. Using a capital font throughout the story didn't help with this at all :(

We loved reading this tonight in bed, my son found it very funny and I had to read it three times!

Mmm. Not so sure about this. It's very repetitive, colloquial and the capital letters are really hard to read alongside a reception child. Would have preferred a Gruffalo style book!
