Hello Garage

Ludo is exploring the garage to find some friends to play with. All the adults are very busy doing jobs but there are plenty of children who want to go and have some fun. Ludo collects new friends from all over the garage, and they all go outside to play together on the grass.

Nosy Crow’s series of board books featuring Ludo the cat is great for toddlers who love to turn flaps, and any little animal enthusiasts. The cute illustrations are bright and colourful, and the range of animals included is better than your average farm choices, with wolves, moose and aardvark all hanging out together.

The die-cut flaps are interesting for little hands to hold and the final spread has an extra-sensory detail with some soft grass to touch. The text itself is simple and short but older children will enjoy the extra peep-through windows and guessing what’s going on inside the vehicles before the flap is turned.

This deceptively simple book has interest and detail that children will want to return to again and again.
