Follow the Swallow

Publisher: Farshore

Chack the blackbird and Apollo the Swallow are fledgling friends. Chack is brown but claims he will turn black and that the berries in the tree where he lives will turn orange, but Apollo doesn't believe him. Apollo says he will fly to Africa but Chack doesn't believe him either.

Then one day Apollo really does fly to Africa and when the berries really do turn orange, Chack sends a message to his friend to come back to see the orange berries. When Apollo returns he sees that Chack has also turned black and everything they both claimed has come true.

This quirky picture book about friendship and change is illustrated with delicate illustrations by Pam Smy.
