Animals have routines, just like you. From cleaning their teeth to making friends, learning, and even getting dressed, find out how animals do the same things that you do.

For instance, bears keep clean by licking their fur, while cleaner wrasse fish nibble off bugs from larger fish. And the poo of blue whales is bright pink or orange or green! Some crows even tidy up after they’ve eaten. 

Written in rhyme so that it’s fun to read aloud, this picture book is remarkably informative, and a variety of animals are depicted in bright, friendly illustrations. From birds to mammals, fish and reptiles, there is something interesting about all of them.

Young children will enjoy comparing their own routines to that of the animals, and there are speech bubbles from the creatures to encourage empathy.

This would be appealing to pre-schoolers and children in Reception, and useful both at home and in the classroom as it could start conversations about self-care activities.
