Charlotte's Web
Publisher: HarperCollins
This is the tale of how a little girl named Fern - with the help of a friendly talking spider called Charlotte - saved her pig, Wilbur, from the usual fate of nice fat little pigs.
An unusual and witty story which provides a gentle introduction to questions of mortality, Charlotte's Web is a modern classic.

Charlotte's Web is the most depressing and downbeat novel I've ever read. I bought it recently for my young niece and she was absolutely terrified of it - as it dwells constantly on death and change. I certainly wouldn't recommend this to anyone buying books for their children. It will only upset and terrify them - as it did my young niece.

Charlotte's Web is one of the best children's classics in the world, and probably the most commonly known, too. I think it is a good all-round book for children and I would recommend it for ages 5-11 years old. The end was a bit sad.

this book is terrific for all ages and i believe it can be taken in many ways, like how all the animals replicate all the different religions, cultures and nationalities and you should go off looks because the ugliest person could be the sweetest person you have ever met and could save your life

A little girl called Fern has a dad who is a farmer and one of his pigs has some babies but one of them called Wilbur was too small so Fern had to look after it.

I like it when Charlotte makes writing out of the spider webs, I also liked it when Wilbur gets a medal.
