Birds and Other Animals with Pablo Picasso

Publisher: Phaidon

Pablo Picasso was a great artist, and some of the best doodles in his sketchbooks were of animals. There are loads of birds, like flamingos, penguins and peacocks, as well as animals such as dogs, camels, grasshoppers, horses and turtles. See if you can identify them all.

This is the third spectacular instalment in the First Concepts with Fine Artists series. The book is perfectly designed with thick board pages, each containing a black-and-white line drawing of an animal found in Picasso's notebooks. The drawings are charming and immediately identifiable, despite their slightly surreal depiction. A gorgeous addition to any baby bookshelf.
