Ruby Redfort show at Barnes Literary Festival: The London stage premiere of Children's Laureate Lauren Child's bestselling mysteries series starring her super sleuth Rudy Redfort. When the world's greatest criminal masterminds target a precious Buddha statue, it's up to Ruby - code breaker, special agent and 13-year-old genius - to crack the case. For ages 9+ - there are five performances taking place, and tickets are available here.

Lauren Child discusses the art of picture books illustration with books expert Julia Eccleshare in this special Klaus Flugge prize event. After their conversation, this year's shortlist for the Klaus Flugge prize - the award for the most promising and exciting newcomer to children's picture book illustration - will be announced. Lauren is one of the judges for this year's prize and Julia Eccleshare is chair of judges – as an added bonus, there will also be lots of new illustrators at the event! Foyles bookshop, 107 Charing Cross Road, London 7-8pm

There are two chances to see Lauren Child at Hay Festival 2018 in Wales! Lauren will discuss creativity, making time to dream and the poetry of illustration in an event for adults and older children on 1 June at 2:30pm (find out more here). Then on 2 June at 11:30am there will be a Charlie and Lola storytelling event for ages 3+. Lauren Child will read Charlie and Lola: A Dog with Nice Ears and answer questions, with storytelling and games with storyteller Devon Black. Get all the details right here.

English teachers get a chance to meet and listen to Lauren Child deliver a keynote speech at 1.45pm at the annual NATE (National Association for Teachers of English) conference held this year in Aston, Birmingham. The theme of this year's conference is So Many Voices, So Many Worlds.
