Win two inspiring picture books for curious young minds

Filled with amazing facts and awesome experiments to try, A Scientist Like Me and An Engineer Like Me are perfect picture books for children with a budding interest in STEM subjects.

Written by Dr Shini Somara, a mechanical engineer dedicated to inspiring young people - especially women and girls - to get curious about the fascinating world of science, technology, engineering and mathematics, these two adorable picture books are beautifully illustrated and filled with interactive fun.

In An Engineer Like Me, a little girl is on a quest to learn about the world around her - whether that's how escalators work, what keeps planes in the air, or what stops tall buildings from falling over. With help from her Gran, she explores the city discovering the amazing feats of engineers throughout history - before trying some experiments of her very own, which children can join in!

On a trip to the beach with his mum, he learns all about some of the incredible scientists who have helped us to understand the world, and tries out some scientific experiments of his own.
