The front cover of Julia and the Shark

We're a huge fan of Kiran Millwood Hargrave's captivating books - and she's done it again with her new one, Julia and the Shark!

With stunning illustrations from Tom de Freston, the story follows Julia as she moves to a remote island with her parents - her dad is going there to work, while her mum is desperate to track down the elusive Greenland shark.

But when her mother's obsession begins to take over, Julia finds herself on an adventure with dark depths and a lighthouse full of hope.

A spread from Julia and the Shark

Julia and the Shark is a beautifully written tale covering themes of science and the environment within an uplifting story about a mother, a daughter and love.

And it's a gorgeous addition to any bookshelf, too, as it's presented as a deluxe hardback with tracing paper inserts and Tom's black and yellow illustrations.

We have five copies of Julia and the Shark to give away, so if you fancy winning one simply answer the question below and leave your details before the closing date of 11pm on Thursday, 7 October. Good luck!
