Find out about children's book events taking place this December.
There are always a fantastic range of book and literature in the run up to Christmas, with plenty of opportunities to meet the authors behind the words and pictures on the page. Look out for events from your local Waterstones stores, as well as those independent bookshops and local libraries.
9 December-19 January: The Theatre Royal Haymarket is once again staging The Tiger Who Came to Tea - a wonderful adaptation of Judith Kerr's classic book complete with magic, songs and 'clumsy chaos'!
12 December-5 January: Now this sounds delightful - Allan and Janet Ahlberg's wonderful The Jolly Christmas Postman is being brought to the stage at the Oxford Playhouse. With music, magical storytelling and puppetry, little ones will surely love joining the postman as he visits Miss Riding Hood, Humpty Dumpty and more with their festive gifts.
14 December-5 January: Fans of David Walliams - get yourselves to London's Bloomsbury Theatre for a stage adaptation of Billionaire Boy - it's from the same team who brought us theatre versions of Gangsta Granny and Awful Auntie, so should be a treat.
14 December: Head to the Old Vic Theatre in London for another morning of festive storytelling magic with former Waterstones Children's Laureate Michael Rosen. What could be more Christmassy? Find out more on the Old Vic website here.
