What’s Next Door?

(3 reviews with an average rating of 5 out of 5)

Publisher: Nosy Crow

Fans of Open Very Carefully will instantly recognise Carter the crocodile in this hilarious interactive picture book. Carter seems to have lost his way and needs to return home – and you have to help him, otherwise he’ll eat you…

From the first page, children will engage with the story's playful text. They are asked to use their finger to "draw" a door for Carter to go through, followed by various ways to get him unstuck from the doors (crocodiles are known for their big bottoms). There are also other commands, such as shaking the snow off him (which makes it slightly worse) and using your hand to fan him from the heat of the desert.

If Open Very Carefully is a favourite for story time, then What’s Next Door? will be at the top of your reading pile!
