Trollhunters

(2 reviews with an average rating of 3 out of 5)

Publisher: Hot Key Books

For as long as he can remember, James Sturges Jnr's life has been overshadowed by the gruesome fate of his Uncle Jack who was abducted by flesh-eating trolls at the tender age of 13.

When, a generation later, the monsters return to resume harvesting humans as food, Jim seems to be on their hit list. But things are not always what they appear and Jim needs a strong constitution, as he morphs from helpless victim into reluctant hero, and is forced to get up-close-and-personal with grotesque bodily fluids, monstrous excretions and mindboggling carnage.

This black comedy has a highly visual, cinematic feel. It is wildly imaginative and rich in description, comedy gore and elaborate use of language, but a little light on plot. Contains strong language and graphic violence.
