Train!

Publisher: Little Tiger Press

Little Elephant only knows one word, and he calls everything 'train'. When his parents take him on a real train he gets angry because the other animals call out the names of their toys, and he keeps shouting 'train' until he has a temper tantrum. When the toys get muddled up he finds he's holding a plane, and he and all his friends learn lots of new words.

Abbot's bright images, with cartoon animals shouting the name of their toy, help young readers to identify and learn the names of objects. Her message is about sharing and listening to others, and there are many familiar toys which young readers will recognise. Her illustrations are great fun for even the youngest.
