The Secrets Club: Alice in the Spotlight
Publisher: Puffin Books
Starting secondary school at Riverside Academy, Alice feels she has a lot to worry about. Will anyone at her new school speak to her? Will she be able to keep up with the work? Will she get picked for any school sports teams? And most importantly, will she make any friends?
Luckily, she soon gets to know three of her new classmates - Tash, Dani and Lissa - and the girls band together to form a gang of four, who promise to tell each other all their secrets. The only problem is that Alice has a secret that she's not ready to share with the others. What will her new friends think when they discover the truth about Alice's older sister Nikki?
The first book in Chris Higgins' Secrets Club series, Alice in the Spotlight is a lively, warm and entertaining story about friends, family and the ups and downs of school life. Touching on some interesting issues from celebrity culture to ethical fashion, this is an engaging, easy to read but nonetheless thought-provoking story that will especially appeal to girls.

I love this book because i am like Alice in this book sinse i have just started secondary school. Also i was like Alice worrrying about the fact that i might not have any friends at my new school. When Alice had to go to an all girl school i felt sorry for her because she was the only one from her primary school going there. Alices best friend is a boy so he couldnt go to alices school so i think Alice should have been able to go to a normal school like her friends. I dont like the way Ali...

This book is good for girls who are starting secondary school and are worried about making friends or being alone OR keeping secrets! It includes real-life situation facts and tips for secondary school. It is a tale of a true friendship between 4 ordinary girls all new to their new school Riverside. They become best friends and each vow to never keep secrets from them. However Alice, the main character, has one big secret she doesn't want to tell...

I have read this book and I thought it is excellent. It is all about a a girl called Alice and she starts a secondary school called Riverside Academy and she thinks that she would get bullied and get picked on ... But when she first starts she meets some really nice girls called Tashieka, Melissa and Danielle and Alice (Her), they are shortened to Ali, Lissa, Dani and Tash. As they get to know each other they say they are in the Gang Of Four and what Tash likes to call 'The No-Secret Club'...

I thought that the book tells the story in a lot of detail and in a way was apropreat for my age ( 11 ). The book tells a great story about that you dont have to be scared to come to a different school that you have never been to before . The book had one word that isnt so bad but i persanaly think it is not such a bad word for my age . I think that the book would have to be for the age range about 10 to 16 because you have to be able to realise about the school and it is scary to change s...

I think that this book is very good and understandable. there are many ciffhangers and hooks, which make me want to read more. the book was about a girl called Alice, she had moved schools and was very scared it might go wrong. when her dad was taking her to school a woman took his parking space, so he swore at her. not very nice. That womans daughter turns out to be alices new friend, lissa (melissa). Alice did not know any one in the school. She will now.

what i thought of the book was that it had a lot of freindship in it so it started off with a girl called alice. it was going to be her first day of secondary school and she was very excited because she had everything ready and when the day came her sister nikki was scaring her like saying 'its going to be hard' and other stuff but when she arrives at school she is in for a shock because she actually made a freind tashieka. when she was in class she got a seat next to her and she made anot...
