Hilarious and gripping from page one, this is a masterful piece of storytelling, and the first in a new series. Tense, imaginative, filled with fabulous characters and whacky inventions, and with some genuinely scary moments, this first 'chapter book' is hard to put down - which is something of a rarity in fiction for younger readers. Highly recommended.
