The Last Summer of Us

After her mother’s funeral, Limpet is only too glad to get away for a few days and join her best friends Steffan and Jared on a summer road trip. What follows is a journey of self-discovery where they share fun and laughter but also worries and regrets as they all know that this will be their last summer together, like this, for ever.

This is a story of friendship, grief, love and loss, cleverly disguised as a road trip. It is beautifully written, perfectly evoking the dying summer and the feelings of sadness as life moves on and brings change. The dialogue is wonderful with plenty of humorous banter between the friends in a truly moving story which is difficult to put down, or indeed forget.
