The Hog, the Shrew and the Hullabaloo

Publisher: Faber and Faber

Harry the Hog is fast asleep until a strange noise wakes him up. He gets scared and calls his friend Candy Stripe Lil and asks her to come and help him find out what is making the strange noise. The friends look all over the house and find different animals making noises but none of them are the noise that Harry heard. Eventually, as the sun comes up, they solve the mystery together.

Julia Copus has written a beautiful text which has a gentle rhythm and rhymes including scuffle and kerfuffle. Eunyoung Seo's illustrations beautifully show the inside of Harry the Hog's house and bring the story to life.
