The Dragon and the Nibblesome Knight

Publisher: Macmillan Children’s Books

The terrifying Dragons of Dread decide that it's time for tiny Dram to hunt his first nibblesome knight. On his first flight, Dram is caught in a thunderstorm and crash-lands in a lake. A kind little boy called James mistakes Dram for a very rare duck, bandages his injuries, and gathers plums and peaches for his rumbling tum. The two become firm friends.

But the next day is sports day at James' school, Hardbottom's Academy, where all the young knights are dressed in armour ready to fight bad, beastly dragons. When Dram arrives, he and James decide that they can't possibly do battle as they are such good friends.

A captivating, comical, rhyming story about kindness, friendship and the acceptance of differences.
