Peekaboo Apple

Publisher: Nosy Crow

Everyone is saying peekaboo! in this book – from a baby peeking out of her pram to a dog peering out from behind a tree. Even more excitingly, each chunky board page features either a pull out tab or a push up slider so that little ones and adults can play peekaboo! to their heart’s content.

Ingela Arrhenius’ bold, chunky retro style illustration is always very pleasing, and Peekaboo Apple has an almost 1970s look, full of bold red apples, primary colour toadstools and rainbow snails which will delight little ones and feel stylish to adults too. The fact that it’s a rhyming text is an added bonus, and with a simple, bold font and just two words per page, it’s a lovely little read for babies and toddlers that they’ll probably start to learn by heart after a while. Super cute little animals and characters as well as the interactive push and pull tabs throughout make it very appealing – a real winner of a board book. Plus, there’s a mirror at the end for little ones to see themselves – the ultimate peekaboo.
