Milly and the Mermaids

(1 reviews with an average rating of 5 out of 5)

Publisher: Orion

Milly and her parents go to the seaside. Millie and Dad have fun building a sandcastle but what Millie wants most is to see a mermaid. She buries Mum up to her waist and makes her a sandy tail. Surely the curious mermaids will come to see the Mum Mermaid? But there is no sign of them. Dad gives Millie a beautiful shell which looks like a tiny mermaid. That night, as she goes to sleep, the shell grows huge. Millie tiptoes inside and finds a mermaid with shimmery blue hair. All night long Millie swims and plays with the mermaids.

A charming story about wishes coming true, with warm, jewel-coloured illustrations which bring the simple, magical text alive.
