What to Read After... David Walliams 17/02/25
Making Tracks: Farm
Publisher: Child’s Play
Down on the farm, Camilla the cow is grazing in the meadow but what sort of tracks does she leave in the mud? Fynn the farmer’s boots leave big footprints as he takes hay to the sheep. Poppy the pony leaves curved shoe prints as Milo rides her around but what marks does the tractor leave? Or Hettie the hen?
The text is simple and illustrations are bold and appealing. Die-cut shapes allow small hands to feel and identify lots of tracks that might be found around the farm with whole-page-sized fold-out flaps encouraging guessing, prediction and memory skills.
With plenty of opportunities for adult-child interaction, this is a great book for sharing with the very young.
