Longbow Girl

Merry Owen is fiercely proud of her longbow-wielding ancestors. At the Battle of Crecy, an Owen archer saved the King, not a de Courcy retainer: his reward, a farm on de Courcy land. Owens have farmed there ever since, despite long-standing de Courcy hostility.   

Merry still practises the longbow, but defies tradition by being friends with James de Courcy. Unearthing a valuable ancient book and unravelling its riddles lead Merry and James on a perilous journey back into history, but others also desire the book, convinced it's ancient family secrets should remain hidden. 

Set in the remote Brecon Beacons, combining adventure, history and fast-paced thriller, Merry and James are distinctive, interesting characters: although deeply rooted in their respective histories, they transcend old enmities to embrace their futures
