Design a Skyscraper

Alice the architect leads you through the process of building a skyscraper.

Choose the size and shape of your building, where to build it and what materials you will use. How will the building be used and how will it withstand earthquakes? How fast will the lifts travel and how will you keep it clean?

You will answer these questions by solving maths problems. You must read and interpret tables, use fractions and proportions, work with co-ordinates, and master multiplication and division.

Only then will you succeed in building the world's tallest skyscraper.
